Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, a typical day might include:

  • Working closely with clients, Solution Architects, and project teams to translate customer technical specifications into Bullhorn Database solutions.
  • Consult with the client and project team on best practices for migration issues and resolving them.
  • Developing complex, optimized T-SQL scripts to migrate data
  • Performing ad hoc data updates
  • Analyzing various data sets
  • Data analysis, the ability to review a database and identify entity relationships and attributes without the availability of diagrams or documentation
  • Set & Manage Expectations with Project team regarding project deliverables

This job might be for you if:

  • You have 2+ years of writing complex queries, stored procedures, views and other database design work in MS SQL Server
  • You have ETL development experience
  • You have experience in client facing roles
  • You have the ability to work self-directed and as part of a team on projects of varying size; shows commitment to tasks, project, and to the team
  • You have strong verbal, written, organizational, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with Typescript
  • Bullhorn experience
  • Multilingual
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries that leverage built-in functionality such as pivot, cross apply, loops and recursive CTEs
  • You have experience with web technologies, languages and frameworks (REST, SOAP, Angular, SQL, Python, Java/Spring)
